MY FINANCIAL SERVICES CAREER BEGAN IN 1997
My career began at The Advisors Group of Chicago in 1997 as an advisor. I feel extremely fortunate to have found a career that combines my enjoyment of the technical aspects of planning and investing with the rewarding role of trusted counselor to my clients. My fulfillment comes from building strong relationships with clients and helping them achieve both their financial and life goals.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
My Private Vista includes continuing my love of mountain climbing, which I’ve enjoyed over the years with my kids. I’m currently about halfway through the list of fifty-three 14,000-foot peaks in Colorado, and I hope to do them all before my knees give out! I love being outdoors and climbing, but in summer I also enjoy working on my golf game. And playing a lot of paddle tennis makes Chicago winters almost enjoyable.

MY FINANCIAL SERVICES CAREER BEGAN IN 1985
I have been a financial planner since the mid 80s, helping people consider priorities for themselves and their families, and then working closely with them to turn their hopes and dreams into reality. Before that, I worked in my family’s business, which gives me a unique understanding of the financial dynamics of family owned businesses, including the issues of succession planning.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
As I look to my future, I hope to become more involved with mentoring students — perhaps becoming a trainer with the Positive Coaching Alliance organization. I would like to carve out more time for meditating and maintaining my fitness and flexibility through Bikram yoga. And, of course, spending more quality time with my wife and two children.

Over the 30 years of doing this work I have lived many lives through my clients. I have been with them in moments of great joy and cried with them during their times of sadness. I have taught and educated them, but more importantly, I have been taught and learned from them as well.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
As a father of three and business owner, I enjoy an enriched life. I channel my time, talents and energy between family and friends, clients and colleagues, as well as causes that provide a path for those without the opportunities I’ve had. Now that my children are becoming young adults, I’m most excited to explore new directions for the next stages of my life.

MY FINANCIAL SERVICES CAREER BEGAN IN 1989
I’ve been enthusiastic about financial planning since I started. When I entered the financial planning industry, it was beginning to transform the relationship between advisors and clients from selling products to helping clients solve problems. It was perfect timing because I was determined to really understand client concerns and help them develop an overall plan that met their goals and objectives. While I still enjoy working with clients on complex problems, I am also spending more time as our firm’s managing partner focusing on firm operations and strategy. I strive to keep the firm innovative and at the forefront of the industry so we can provide a world class client experience.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
My Private Vista has been an active one, especially when you have two adventurous young adults who like to rock climb, hike, ski and generally seek outdoor thrills — and I don’t want that to change, even though we are now empty nesters. My wife and I enjoy traveling and are wine enthusiasts who continue to educate ourselves to learn more and create new experiences. I am also enjoying the added time for my favorite sports like platform tennis and golf.

MY FINANCIAL SERVICES CAREER BEGAN IN 1991
In 1983, I left a “Big Eight” public accounting firm to work for one of my audit clients. Eight years later, my entrepreneurial itch was scratched as I started a partnership in the financial services industry. Two years later, I co-founded WNA Wealth Advisors, one of the precursor firms to Private Vista. I am a frequent speaker and I am often interviewed on subjects ranging from economic conditions to wealth management. My experience as an accountant, business owner and financial advisor gives me a unique perspective to offer my clients.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
My future focus begins with remaining fit and healthy. I love playing competitive sports, especially basketball and tennis. I also love watching the Chicago Cubs (I am an eternal optimist). I hope to spend even more time enjoying all activities with my wife and kids, particularly, collecting sea glass with my wife on the shores of Lake Geneva. When my work hours begin to decrease, I want to spend even more of my time giving back to our community.

MY FINANCIAL SERVICES CAREER BEGAN IN 2004
I love what I do — and I think of myself as a financial caregiver. In fact, I considered a career in nursing, but realized I did not have the “patience” (pun intended!) for it. I devote much of my current practice working with women, often in transition, to take control of their financial matters. The most satisfying part of this profession is to watch our clients become empowered. I help my clients conceive their future, relieve their fears and achieve their dreams.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
I like being active! Running has been a pastime for over 30 years, and I hope to run another marathon. My other passions are reading, travel and golf. The thing in which I take the most pleasure, however, is time spent with my family and friends enjoying a delicious meal, a good bottle of wine and great conversation. In my Private Vista, I see my husband and I becoming more engaged in various charities we have supported through the years, particularly in the area of education. I also look forward to watching my children live their own happy and fulfilled lives and eventually enjoying their own Private Vista!

While I began my career in financial services in 2003, I’ve understood the importance of financial planning since I was a child. My father was a founding partner of FSN, which is now part of Private Vista. He taught me that in dealing with important complex topics, from retirement strategies to next generation planning, to remember that I’m in a business of long-term relationships. It has been tremendously rewarding for me as I work tirelessly to help my clients achieve their Private Vista.

My career began at The Advisors Group of Chicago in 2010 as a Financial Planning and Investment Analyst. Over the seven years working there, I learned the careful practice of financial planning and also specialized in investment analysis. Eventually I moved up to serve as an advisor and then joined Private Vista in 2017. As an advisor, I work to develop a trusting partnership with clients by learning about their lives and their personal and professional goals. I try to empathize with their struggles and live vicariously through their successes. Through careful research, I hope to create and implement a sustainable financial and life plan. My fulfillment comes in seeing individuals and families I work with realize their goals.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
My Private Vista includes spending time laughing with friends and family. Strong friendships make up the foundation for my life. I also envision an active, outdoors lifestyle where I find peace and gather strength for life’s challenges. Whether it is a strenuous day hike, a long kayak paddle, wading in a river with my fishing pole, or a powder day on my skis – I love my time in the great outdoors. I also hope to continue to enjoy warm afternoons on the golf course, good books on history or finance, mornings at the gym, traveling to new places and bottles of great wine with excellent company.

I began my financial planning career as an intern and have worked my way up through every job at the firm. I’ve spent hours in meetings with clients, asking questions and observing. I’ve learned to recognize expectations, a client’s need for clarity, and how, without it, there might exist an anxious future. It’s why I enjoy taking my clients through our planning process, using our tools that answer the questions and clear the uncertainty so that they can look forward to their idea of an enriched life.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
My Private Vista is all about family and friends. My wife, Jennifer and I focus on raising our two children (Matthew and Brooklyn) in our community of Western Springs with that as their cornerstone. We enjoy trips to the park, local restaurants, and impromptu fire pits with neighbors. In my free time, I enjoy serving on the boards for the Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind and The Darien Lions Club, where our mission is to serve those in our community with visual impairments. My own visual disability has limited my ability to see the world in 20/20, and I look to help those who lack the resources to do so as well.

While it is serious stuff, it’s easier to understand and process if you have fun while doing it!

MY PRIVATE VISTA

My experience as a collegiate athlete has prepared me to put the necessary time in to learn all I can about this industry so that I can perform at the high level I expect of myself and that I hope to offer my clients.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
As much as I love living in Chicago, having the opportunity to go back home to Louisiana is a huge part of my private vista. Mardi Gras has always been a time for family and fun. From the extravagant balls to being on the streets, every aspect is unique and amazing to be a part of. I have been able to watch some of my family members ride in parades, and hopefully next year I will get a chance to do the same. Another part of my life will always be volleyball. I played at Virginia Tech and it has been a big part of my life since I was young. I have coached for many years and in different states. I also would like to explore the northwestern region of Sicily and specifically Palermo, the capital from which my family emigrated three generations ago. After just a few short months of working in financial services, I realized that I wanted to build a career on the financial planning side of the industry, where the relationship focus is with individuals and families. Since then, through advisor positions with firms in Cleveland and Chicago, I’ve been privileged to be a part of the financial decisions in the lives of hundreds of families.

What I enjoy most about my role is that I am able to build trust with clients by learning about the things in their lives that matter. With this knowledge, I can help them realize their goals at different points in their lives. When I have helped a client navigate through a tough situation or reach a planned objective, I feel I have done my job as their trusted advisor.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
My Private Vista includes traveling to a new place each year with loved ones. I want to build a memorabilia of travel experiences. I also enjoy giving back to the community around me and spend time volunteering at Rebuilding Exchange, where I am a teaching assistant for woodworking classes. Lastly, competitive swimming has been an integral part of my life since I was young and continues to be a small but important part of my life today. I still continue to share that passion and love for the sport in and out of the pool.

MY FINANCIAL SERVICES CAREER BEGAN IN 2010
My passion for financial services began during my internships while in school. I worked for a small family office for several summers and became a full-time trader and investment analyst after graduating. At Private Vista, my role is to trade, monitor and rebalance client accounts as well as conduct investment research and analysis.

One of the greatest joys in my job is helping people to reach their personal and financial goals. It is a pleasure being there to help people navigate the complex world of finance and understand the dynamic nature of investing. I enjoy applying my knowledge of investing and trading to analyze problems and develop solutions.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
I have a passion for all things finance, so my goal is to complete the CFA program in the near future. Outside of finance, I enjoy scuba diving and underwater photography. My Private Vista includes also someday traveling to some of the many islands in the South Pacific to dive and photograph the natural beauty.

MY FINANCIAL SERVICES CAREER BEGAIN IN 2008
I had several jobs before I began my career in financial services. I worked in property management, in various capacities of management at Kraft Foods, and in field support, developing systems applications and training. This was all great preparation for my work at Private Vista, where in my support as a Client Service Associate, I’m called on to prioritize efficiently with the highest degree of professionalism and accuracy. I enjoy most being part of a team and learning from my colleagues.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
I see myself supporting worthy organizations and helping less fortunate people. I would love more time for nature walking, bicycle riding and travel, particularly in the West, Southwest, and Northwest United States as well as internationally to Israel or on a KLOVE Cruise. I also love music and find my escape in blues, country, and worship music. I am always eager to learn and would love to be more proficient on my IPAD, laptop and smart phone. Mostly, I want to grow in faith and make a positive impact in the lives I encounter, especially family and close friends.

MY FINANCIAL SERVICES CAREER BEGAN IN 2002
I have been working in the financial business for 15 years, but prior to that I worked for 10 years in a law firm. My years managing accounts and working on billing required much accuracy and attention to detail, which prepared me for my current role in managing our clients’ reports and paperwork. I work to provide the best experience possible when handling client requests and questions, preparing insurance quotes and applications, and any other client materials for advisor meetings. I enjoy handling a variety of jobs and really getting to know the clients as I assist with their requests.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
My Private Vista includes spending time outdoors with family and friends. I especially love camping in the fresh air – walking, hiking and biking are a must. I’d like to continue traveling and seeing the country, most importantly spending time by the ocean.

Over the years, I’ve come to enjoy giving direct support to our advisors in a way that makes a real difference for our clients. I appreciate that the work I do helps our clients make important financial decisions, and I enjoy that responsibility. I also enjoy the challenge of being meticulous and precise in providing the information our advisors need.

WHAT I HOPE TO GAIN FROM MY INTERNSHIP
I am interested in financial planning because I believe in the value of supporting clients to achieve their life goals, not only their financial objectives. Private Vista’s emphasis on enriching their clients’ lives is one of the main reasons why I pursued an internship specifically with this company. I look forward to understanding what allows advisors to have successful client interactions and the strategy behind the investment side of financial plans throughout the summer.

MY PRIVATE VISTA
Growing up playing football and baseball, sports have been a significant part of my life and continue to be while I am in college, even though I am not playing anymore. I am an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and I have a long-term goal of visiting all 30 MLB stadiums. Besides athletics, I love exploring all of the wonderful food options that the Chicago area has to offer.
