Webinar – Divorce Resource: You Have Questions, We Have Answers
By Private Vista on July 13, 2021
On June 30, Project Venus Co-Founders Mary Beth McClean, CFP®, MBA and Nicole Romito, CFP®, CDFA™ hosted a webinar where they discussed divorce and owning a business with two guest panelists.
During this webinar, attendees had access to a panel of professionals who were available to answer their questions around the legal, financial, and emotional issues related to divorce. Regardless of the stage of divorce that our attendees are in, we have found that the more they know, the more empowered they may feel. This can allow those who are contemplating or experiencing divorce to move forward with confidence and clarity for all of the decisions that will need to be made.
June’s featured topic was owning a business and divorce. There is an additional layer of complexity when a privately owned business is one of the marital assets. Common questions are: How is it valued? How is cash flow calculated for maintenance & child support? How are personal expenses paid through the business addressed? These questions and more are addressed on our Playback of Divorce Resource: You Have Questions, We Have Answers.
