Early on, Private Vista realized the need for more women in finance, and in leadership positions within our own business. We have made progress in this endeavor with 46% of our business and 28% of our partners identifying as women.
Given that we are based in the Chicagoland area, our business wants to reflect the community in which we serve. 27% of Private Vista employees identify as non-white/ethnically diverse.
We recognize our work in this area will be ongoing. There is no “there”. We are committed to broadening where we find candidates for employment and the client base we serve to help ensure we are working with a varied group of individuals.
Beginning in 2009, Private Vista committed to creating formal, written and transparent career development plans. We are proud of the fact that every employee has a personalized plan, so that they understand where they currently are and how to progress along their career path. As our firm continues to evolve and our team continues to grow, we regularly update the career path.
Employees are invited to participate on one of Private Vista’s working committees. Members periodically rotate to provide exposure to various parts of our business. This allows fresh thinking on the committees and a chance for everyone on our team to share their thoughts, opinions, and perspectives. All employees are given the opportunity to share their voices and be a part of Private Vista’s continued growth and evolution.
