MY FINANCIAL SERVICES CAREER BEGAN IN 2021
My passion for finance began in high school during a personal finance project. The assignment required us to research and select a career that we were interested in pursuing after graduation. As I came across several careers, a Financial Advisor stood out as a profession that could align with my personality and aspirations. In college, I completed Michigan State University’s Financial Planning and Wealth Management program. This equipped me with essential knowledge and helped satisfy the educational requirements necessary to pursue the Certified Financial Planner certification upon graduation. Following college, I began my professional journey at Plante Moran Financial Advisors. While Plante Moran is more known as an accounting firm, the experience allowed me to serve a diverse client base and develop a strong foundation in wealth management. It was here that I realized that wealth management goes beyond the numbers- it’s about building meaningful relationships with clients and helping them achieve their goals.
MY PRIVATE VISTA
My Private Vista is built around meaningful connections, exploration, lifelong learning, and giving back. I prioritize my relationships with family and friends, as they bring purpose and fulfillment to my life. Traveling the world is also important to me, allowing opportunities to experience new cultures and perspectives. I consider myself a lifelong student, always trying to expand my knowledge. Over time, I hope to learn new skills (ex: playing piano, martial arts, etc.) and expand my knowledge in subjects like history and astronomy. Gratitude is at the heart of my values, and I strive to give back to others in appreciation of the blessings I have received. Currently, I am involved by volunteering at my local church, but I envision contributing more to financial literacy initiatives through nonprofit organizations. In retirement, I can see myself coming full circle—teaching a personal finance class at a high school, helping the next generation gain essential financial skills.
