Webinar – Divorce Resource: The House in Divorce
By Nicole Young on April 26, 2022
Are you thinking about divorce but not sure where to begin? Are you going through a divorce with concerns on how it is proceeding? Private Vista presents, Divorce Resource, a webinar series that is offered to provide guidance for both men and women who are considering or going through a divorce.
During each webinar, we feature a rotating panel of professionals who answer common questions about the legal, financial, and emotional issues related to divorce. Regardless of the stage of divorce that you are in, we have found that the more you know, the more empowered you may feel. This can allow you to move forward with confidence and clarity for all the decisions you will need to make.
The topic of this segment will be around the marital home. Often this is one of the largest assets in the marital estate and has a very sentimental value attached to it. How do you assess the asset, especially in a booming real estate economy, to answer the questions of should I keep the house? Can I afford to keep the house? What assets am I giving up keeping it? Our panel will provide advice to help you determine if it is in your best interest to keep the house – and discuss the financial impact of that decision.
